    REAFFIRMING THE TAIWAN RELATIONS ACT AND THE SIX ASSURANCES AS 
             CORNERSTONES OF UNITED STATES-TAIWAN RELATIONS

  Mr. TILLIS. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to the consideration of Calendar No. 535, S. Con. Res. 38.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the concurrent 
resolution by title.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 38) reaffirming the 
     Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances as cornerstones 
     of United States-Taiwan relations.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the 
concurrent resolution.
  Mr. TILLIS. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the 
concurrent resolution be agreed to, the preamble be agreed to, and the 
motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with 
no intervening action or debate.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
