Mr. CONNOLLY. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize the volunteers
for Literacy Volunteers of America-Prince William, Inc. (LVA-PW).
Serving Prince William County for the last 23 years, LVA-PW is a
non-profit affiliate of ProLiteracy America dedicated to offering free
literacy instruction for adults. With over 685 adult learners, LVA-PW's
mission is to teach adults to read, write, and communicate effectively
and acquire basic literacy skills to become self-sufficient, better
themselves and their families, and enable them to more actively
participate in the community. LVA-PW provides free basic literacy
instruction, English as a Second Language, computer and workplace
literacy, Pre-GED and GED tutoring, and ESOL/Civic tutoring services to
the community; none of which would be possible without the unwavering
