Mr. THUNE. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when the
Senate adjourns on Thursday, September 10, it stand adjourned until 3
p.m. on Monday, September 14; that following the prayer and pledge, the
Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed
expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later
in the day, and the Senate be in a period of morning business, with
Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each; further,
at 5:30 p.m., the cloture motion with respect to the Byrne nomination
ripen; finally, notwithstanding rule XXII, the cloture motion with
respect to the motion to proceed to Calendar No. 423, H.R. 3633 ripen
on Tuesday, September 15, at 2:15 p.m.
