______
HON. JAMES R. BAIRD
of indiana
in the house of representatives
Thursday, July 30, 2026
Mr. BAIRD. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of
Keith Berry, who passed on July 5, 2026. Berry was born in Greencastle
in 1945. A graduate of Greencastle High School, he spent his entire
life honoring the land and livestock commended to him by the Almighty
God.
Farming was Keith's passion, and he advanced agriculture in many
ways, serving as president of the National Pork Producers Council,
Indiana Pork Producers president, Putnam County Council and Co-Alliance
Board of Directors. In 2010, he was honored as an Indiana Master
Farmer.
Keith supported many 4-H members at the Putnam County Fair livestock
auction and members of the South Putnam FFA Chapter. For years, he
faithfully attended the Putnamville Church of Faith.
Keith is survived by his wife Sharyl, his two children, four
grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, three siblings, and many nieces
and nephews.
