Wednesday, June 24, I was unable to be present for the following 
rollcall vote No. 185. Had I been present, I would have voted as 
follows:

     Marck to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of 
     Texas: Nay.

  Due to unforeseen circumstances on Wednesday, June 24, I was unable 
to be present for the following rollcall vote No. 186. Had I been 
present, I would have voted as follows:

       1. Rollcall vote 186--Confirmation John George Edward Marck 
     to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas: 
     Nay.

  Due to unforeseen circumstances on Wednesday, June 24, I was unable 
to be present for the following rollcall vote No. 187. Had I been
