RECOGNIZING REY B. GONZALEZ

House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.)
Mr. GARCIA of Illinois. Mr. Speaker, I rise to recognize Rey B.
Gonzalez on his retirement after more than 30 years of service to the
people of Chicago.
As president and CEO of El Valor, Mr. Gonzalez dedicated his life's
work to increasing opportunities for children, families, seniors, and
persons with disabilities.
Under Mr. Gonzalez's leadership, El Valor evolved into a nationally
respected institution that has provided countless people with
educational and employment opportunities within the community.
Throughout his career, Rey has always demonstrated compassion,
dignity, and a true commitment to helping others succeed. His
contributions will not only be remembered but also appreciated for many
years to come in our city.
Mr. Speaker, I congratulate Mr. Rey Gonzalez on a distinguished
career and thank him for all of his hard work and dedication to our
communities. I wish him a happy retirement.
