Defense.
AFFORDABILITY
Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs: Committee concluded a 
hearing to examine the affordability agenda, after receiving testimony 
from Lindsey Johnson, Consumer Bankers Association, and Cody Carbone, 
The Digital Chamber, both of Washington, D.C.; Kevin Brown, National 
Association of REALTORS, Chicago, Illinois; and Julie Margetta Morgan,

NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEM SAFETY
Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation: Subcommittee on 
Aviation, Space, and Innovation concluded a hearing to examine 
improving safety across the National Airspace System, after receiving 
testimony from former New Hampshire Governor Christopher T. Sununu, 
Airlines for America, and James A. Viola, General Aviation 
Manufacturers Association, both of Washington, D.C.; Todd Hauptli, 
American Association of Airport Executives, Alexandria, Virginia; and 
Jason Ambrosi, Air Line Pilots Association, International, McLean, 
Virginia.
NOMINATIONS
Committee on Energy and Natural Resources: Committee concluded a 
hearing to examine the nominations of William W. Hague, of Washington, 
to be an Assistant Secretary, Kevin J. Lilly, of Texas, to be Assistant 
Secretary for Fish and Wildlife, both of the Department of the 
Interior, and Kaveh Farzad, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary 
of Energy (International Affairs), after the nominees testified and 
answered questions in their own behalf.
NOMINATIONS
Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs: Committee 
concluded a hearing to examine the nominations of James Andrew Crowell 
IV, and Stuart Gordon Nash, both of the District of Columbia, each to 
be an Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, 
Christopher Michael De Bono, Michael Christopher DiLorenzo, Sharon E. 
Goodie, Craig Edward Leen, Christine Michelle Macey, John Barlow 
Timmer, all of the District of Columbia, each to be an Associate Judge 
of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, after the nominees 
testified and answered questions in their own behalf.
BUSINESS MEETING
Select Committee on Intelligence: Committee ordered favorably reported 
the nominations of Roger Mason, of Virginia, to be Director of the 
National Reconnaissance Office, and Michael Vance, of Virginia, to be 
an Assistant Secretary of State (Intelligence and Research).
  Also, committee concluded a closed briefing on certain intelligence 
matters receiving testimony from officials of the intelligence 
community.
