  SA 5458. Mr. COONS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title 
II of S. Con. Res. 33; which was ordered to lie on the table; as 
follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. _____. PROHIBITION ON DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FROM USING 
                   TAXPAYER FUNDS TO MAKE PAYMENTS FROM THE 
                   ``ANTI-WEAPONIZATION FUND'' ANNOUNCED ON MAY 
                   18, 2026.

       The Department of Justice may not use taxpayer funds to 
     make payments from the ``Anti-Weaponization Fund'' announced 
     on May 18, 2026, or to make any payment from any other fund 
     formed as part of an agreement to settle claims brought by a 
     sitting President.
