Mr. BILIRAKIS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize the outstanding
contributions of Inverness Fire Department Driver/Engineer Michael
Robinson for his exceptional professionalism, leadership, and
unwavering commitment to excellence in the fire service. Driver/
Engineer Robinson has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and
a level of professionalism that reflects the highest standards of
public safety. Since joining the Inverness Fire Department, he has
distinguished himself through his dedication to continuous learning,
his adaptability to modem technologies and evolving fire service
tactics, and his commitment to operational excellence. Throughout his
service, Driver/Engineer Robinson has repeatedly stepped up to serve in
an acting officer capacity when needed, demonstrating reliability,
sound judgment, and composure under pressure. His attention to detail,
initiative, and ability to complete tasks at a high level without
direct supervision have made him a dependable cornerstone of his crew.
In addition to his technical proficiency, Driver/Engineer Robinson is
a team-oriented professional who actively supports his fellow
firefighters. He shares knowledge, mentors others, and ensures that no
task is overlooked, contributing to both individual development and
overall crew effectiveness. His proactive approach has also improved
daily operations and enhanced departmental efficiency. These qualities
reflect not only his skill as a fire service professional, but also his
character, leadership, and dedication to those he serves alongside.
Driver/Engineer Robinson consistently leads by example and embodies the
values essential to the fire service.
I commend Driver/Engineer Michael Robinson for his outstanding
service to the residents of Florida's 12th Congressional District and
proudly recognize him as a 2026 First Responder of the Year. His
professionalism, leadership, and commitment to excellence make him a
role model for all firefighters.
