SA 4848. Ms. DUCKWORTH (for herself and Mr. Booker) submitted an
amendment intended to be proposed by her to the concurrent resolution
S. Con. Res. 33, setting forth the congressional budget for the United
States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the
appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035; which
was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the end of title III, add the following:
SEC. 3___. DEFICIT-NEUTRAL RESERVE FUND RELATING TO REQUIRING
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP TO FULFILL HIS PROMISE
MADE OVER 600 DAYS AGO, ON AUGUST 29, 2024,
THAT IF ELECTED TO A SECOND TERM, YOUR
GOVERNMENT WILL PAY FOR, OR YOUR INSURANCE
COMPANY WILL BE MANDATED TO PAY FOR, ALL COSTS
ASSOCIATED WITH IVF TREATMENT.
The Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate
may revise the allocations of a committee or committees,
aggregates, and other appropriate levels in this resolution,
and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger, for one or
more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between
the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to
reducing wasteful appropriations for U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement and allocating additional amounts in
order to require President Donald Trump to fulfill the
promise he made to the American people over 600 days ago, on
August 29, 2024, that if elected to a second term, under a
Trump administration, ``Your government will pay for, or your
insurance company will be mandated to pay for, all costs
associated with IVF treatment'', by the amounts provided in
such legislation for those purposes, provided that such
legislation would not increase the deficit over the period of
the total of fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
