HONORING MASTER SERGEANT NICOLE AMOR
Ms. SMITH. Mr. President, I rise today with a solemn heart to honor
the life of U.S. Army Reserve MSG Nicole Amor from White Bear Lake, MN.
Master Sergeant Amor was assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command
based in Kuwait when she, along with five other servicemembers, lost
her life serving our Nation on March 1, 2026, during a drone attack.
The State of Minnesota is wrapping its arms around Master Sergeant
Amor's family and friends as we grieve. Nicole's husband Joey
beautifully described her as ``a rare and special light in this
world.'' Along with being a committed solider and true patriot, Master
Sergeant Amor is remembered as ``an amazing wife, mother, and friend .
. . who loved with all her heart.'' In addition to that deep love, she
is remembered for her wit and willingness to be friends with anyone.
Nicole is survived by her husband Joey; son Owen; daughter Adeline;
parents Deborah and Todd; siblings Derek, Tony, and Dillon, Alyssa; and
their mother Janelle; grandma Patrecia; and many other extended family
members and countless friends. She was deeply loved by many friends and
family for her spirit, warmth, humor, and strength. Nicole's husband
Joey says she will always be the love of his life, and her spirit will
continue to shine through in her children and many friends.
Nicole loved to garden, an activity in which she found peace and an
expression of her nurturing love. So it is fitting that Joey and
Nicole's family are planning to build a greenhouse and community garden
to keep her spirit growing, as they grieve her loss.
As Nicole's family said, ``We will carry Nicole with us forever. She
was loved so greatly by so many people, and she loved each and every
one of you right back.''
May a portion of the prayer from her obituary bring us closer to her
spirit:
Lord, hold Nicole close in Your eternal peace. Watch over
her as she rests in Your presence. Please comfort our hearts
as we carry the weight of missing her. Give us strength for
each day, and help us honor her life by loving each other the
way she loved us. May the memories we share keep her spirit
alive in our home, and may the work of our hands continue the
goodness she brought into this world.
