  SA 4605. Ms. HASSAN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
her to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee 
on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on 
the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. __. EXEMPTION FROM BALANCE-OF-PAYMENTS DUTIES FOR 
                   IMPORTS FROM CANADA.

       No duty imposed under section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 
     (19 U.S.C. 2132) shall apply with respect to any article 
     imported from Canada.
