  SA 4516. Mr. BENNET submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
him to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee 
on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on 
the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. __. SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION ON NEWLY NATURALIZED 
                   CITIZENS TO STATES.

       (a) In General.--Not later than 48 hours after the 
     conclusion of the naturalization oath ceremony of a newly 
     naturalized citizen of the United States, the Secretary of 
     Homeland Security shall submit to the chief election official 
     of the State in which the citizen resides the following 
     information with respect to such citizen:
       (1) Full legal name and any known alias.
       (2) Date of birth.
       (3) Residential address.
       (4) The date on which the citizen took the administrative 
     or judicial oath of allegiance.
       (b) Use of Information.--Information submitted under 
     subsection (a) may be used by a State solely for purposes of 
     maintaining accurate official records and facilitating voter 
     registration.
