Mr. BILIRAKIS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the extraordinary
career and tireless service of Dr. Steven G. Scott, who has dedicated
35 years of distinguished service to the Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Service in support of our Nation's service members and
Veterans. Dr. Scott began his career with

the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1990, and over the course of more
than three decades, he has served in numerous leadership and clinical
roles with unwavering professionalism and purpose. Throughout his
tenure, he has been a pivotal figure in the development and advancement
of innovative healthcare programs and rehabilitation initiatives,
helping to transform the delivery of care for both active-duty
Servicemembers and Veterans. His exceptional contributions have earned
him numerous awards and accolades, reflecting not only his clinical
expertise, but also his deep commitment to improving outcomes and
quality of life for those who have worn our Nation's uniform. Dr. Scott
is widely respected for his visionary leadership in program
development, his compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, and
his steadfast dedication to advancing the field of physical medicine
and rehabilitation.
Equally important, Dr. Scott has been a trusted mentor and educator,
investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals and
ensuring that excellence, innovation, and compassion remain hallmarks
of Veterans' healthcare for years to come. Through his commitment,
leadership, and service, Dr. Scott has made a lasting and meaningful
impact on the health, dignity, and well-being of countless military
members and Veterans. His career stands as a testament to the highest
ideals of public service, and I am honored to consider him a friend.
