            HONORING POLICE CHIEF RAYMOND SHORES' RETIREMENT

  Mr. CARTER of Georgia. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize a 
public servant who embodies the spirit of community partnership and 
gratitude.
  In Richmond Hill, Georgia, Police Chief Raymond Shores took a moment 
this week to publicly thank the citizens of Richmond Hill and Bryan 
County for their overwhelming support during his tenure and as he 
prepares to retire.
  Chief Shores' last day is scheduled for January 16, 2026, and in an 
open letter to his community, he expressed deep appreciation for the 
trust and cooperation he received, especially in challenging times. His 
message reminds us that effective policing is not just about 
enforcement; it is about partnership, collaboration, and mutual respect 
between law enforcement and the citizens they serve. That partnership 
reinforces public safety, strengthens neighborhoods, and builds lasting 
relationships founded on trust.
  Today, we thank Chief Shores for his service and acknowledge the 
citizens of Richmond Hill for standing with their law enforcement 
leaders. Their mutual support is a model for communities across our 
Nation.
