  SA 4046. Mr. BENNET (for himself and Mr. Sheehy) submitted an 
amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 4016, making 
appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending 
September 30, 2026, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on 
the table; as follows:

        At the appropriate place, insert the following:


           waiver of overtime caps for wildland firefighters

       Sec. ___. Section 1701 of the Extending Government Funding 
     and Delivering Emergency Assistance Act (5 U.S.C. 5547 note; 
     Public Law 117-43) is amended--
       (1) in subsection (a)(1)--
       (A) in the first sentence, by striking ``2021 or 2022 or 
     2023 or 2024'' and inserting ``2021 or any calendar year 
     thereafter''; and
       (B) in the second sentence--
       (i) by striking ``Services'' and inserting ``services''; 
     and
       (ii) by striking ``subsection'' and inserting 
     ``subsection.'';
       (2) in subsection (b), by striking ``2021 or 2022 or 2023 
     or 2024'' and inserting ``the applicable calendar year''; and
       (3) in subsection (c), by striking ``2021 or 2022 or 2023 
     or 2024'' and inserting ``the applicable calendar year''.
