Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation: Committee concluded 
a hearing to examine why Congress and NASA must thwart China in the 
space race, after receiving testimony from Allen Cutler, Coalition for 
Deep Space Exploration, and Mike Gold, Civil and International Space 
for Redwire, both of Washington, D.C. James F. Bridenstine, Artemis 
Group, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Lieutenant General John Shaw, United States 
Space Force (Ret), Colorado Springs, Colorado.
BUSINESS MEETING
Committee on Environment and Public Works: Committee ordered favorably 
reported the nomination of Katherine Scarlett, of Ohio, to be a Member 
of the Council on Environmental Quality, and 10 GSA resolutions.
NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION
Committee on Environment and Public Works: Committee concluded an 
oversight hearing to examine the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, after 
receiving testimony from David A. Wright, Chairman, Bradley R. Crowell, 
and Matthew J. Marzano, both a Commissioner, all of the Nuclear 
Regulatory Commission.
NOMINATIONS
Committee on Foreign Relations: Committee concluded a hearing to 
examine the nominations of Bill Bazzi, of Michigan, to be Ambassador to 
the Republic of Tunisia, who was introduced by Senator Peters, Melinda 
Hildebrand, of Texas, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Costa Rica, 
who was introduced by Senators Cornyn and Cruz, Todd Wilcox, of 
Florida, to be an Assistant Secretary (Diplomatic Security), Riley 
Barnes, of Texas, to be Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human 
Rights, and Labor, who was introduced by Senator Cornyn, and Dan 
Negrea, of Connecticut, to be Representative of the United States of 
America on the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, with 
the rank of Ambassador, and to serve concurrently and without 
additional compensation as an Alternate Representative of the United 
States of America to the Sessions of the General Assembly of the United 
Nations, all of the Department of State, after the nominees testified 
and answered questions in their own behalf.

Committee on the Judiciary: Committee concluded a hearing to examine 
the nominations of Jennifer Lee Mascott, of Delaware, to be United 
States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit, who was introduced by 
Senator McConnell, Robert P. Chamberlin, who was introduced by Senator 
Wicker, and James D. Maxwell II, who was introduced by Senator Hyde-
Smith, both to be a United States District Judge for the Northern 
District of Mississippi, and Edmund G. LaCour, Jr., and Harold D. Mooty 
III, both to be a United States District Judge for the Northern 
District of Alabama, and Bill Lewis, to be United States District Judge 
for the Middle District of Alabama, who were all introduced by Senator 
Tuberville, after the nominees testified and answered questions in 
their own behalf.

Special Committee on Aging: Committee concluded a hearing to examine 
protecting older Americans, focusing on leveling the playing field for 
older workers, after receiving testimony from Nancy A. LeaMond, AARP, 
and Rachel U. Greszler, The Heritage Foundation, both of Washington,
