  SA 3057. Mr. PADILLA submitted an amendment intended to be proposed 
by him to the bill H.R. 3944, making appropriations for military 
construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies 
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes; 
which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. __. EFFORTS TO IMPROVE HUD-VASH PROGRAM AND REPORT.

       Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of 
     this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in coordination 
     with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, shall--
       (1) conduct additional boot camps for improving the HUD-
     VASH program;
       (2) continue to provide targeted technical assistance based 
     on action plans and learning from the HUD-VASH boot camps; 
     and
       (3) submit to the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate 
     and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of 
     Representatives a report on the extent to which communities 
     have deployed alternative methods to expand HUD-VASH case 
     management capacity.
