  SA 3056. Mr. PADILLA submitted an amendment intended to be proposed 
by him to the bill H.R. 3944, making appropriations for military 
construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies 
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes; 
which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. ___. SECRETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS REPORT ON STATUS OF 
                   IMPLEMENTATION OF CERTAIN RECOMMENDATIONS MADE 
                   BY COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES.

       Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of 
     this Act and not less frequently than once each quarter 
     thereafter, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall provide a 
     quarterly report to the Committee on Appropriations of the 
     Senate and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of 
     Representatives a quarterly report on the status of the 
     implementation of the recommendations made by the Comptroller 
     General of the United States in Government Accountability 
     Office report GAO-25-107182 (June 2, 2025).
