  SA 2999. Mr. BLUMENTHAL submitted an amendment intended to be 
proposed by him to the bill H.R. 3944, making appropriations for 
military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related 
agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other 
purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the end of title II, add the following:

     SEC. 2__. SENSE OF CONGRESS ON DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS 
                   ASSESSMENT OF SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE AND 
                   HISTORICAL CLAIMS DATA REGARDING MEDICAL 
                   CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN MILITARY 
                   SERVICE.

       It is the sense of Congress that the Department of Veterans 
     Affairs should complete its assessment of scientific 
     literature and historical claims data regarding medical 
     conditions associated with the military environmental 
     exposure to radiation and other toxic substances at Camp 
     Stronghold Freedom in Karshi-Khanabad (K2) in Uzbekistan.
