  SA 2824. Mr. PADILLA submitted an amendment intended to be proposed 
to amendment SA 2360 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill 
H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. 
Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        At the end of title III, add the following:

     SEC. 30005. APPROPRIATIONS FOR CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES.

       In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is 
     appropriated to the Secretary of Housing and Urban 
     Development for fiscal year 2025, out of amounts in the 
     Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $400,000,000 for the 
     community development block grant program for disaster 
     recovery, to remain available until September 30, 2029, for 
     the wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles, California.
