  SA 2769. Mr. KING (for himself, Mr. Kaine, and Ms. Warren) submitted 
an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 2360 proposed by 
Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill H.R. 1, to provide for 
reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14; which was 
ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       Strike section 70608 and insert the following:

     SEC. 70608. DIRECT FILE.

       Out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise 
     appropriated, there is hereby appropriated for fiscal year 
     2027 $15,000,000, to remain available under September 30, 
     2026, for necessary expenses of the Department of the 
     Treasury to enhance, improve, and expand the Direct File 
     program.
