  SA 2668. Mr. HEINRICH submitted an amendment intended to be proposed 
to amendment SA 2360 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill 
H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. 
Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       Strike section 88001.

       At the end of subtitle A of title IX, add the following:

     SEC. 90008. HIRING AND DEPLOYMENT OF CHILD WELFARE 
                   PROFESSIONALS.

       In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is 
     appropriated to the Department of Homeland Security for 
     fiscal year 2025, out of any money in the Treasury not 
     otherwise appropriated, $50,000,000, to remain available 
     until September 30, 2029, for the hiring and deployment of 
     child welfare professionals at the Office of Health Security.
