  SA 2572. Mr. PETERS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to 
amendment SA 2360 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill 
H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. 
Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        Strike section 50306 and insert the following:

     SEC. 50306. ENSURING SUFFICIENT NATIONAL PARK SERVICE 
                   STAFFING.

       In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is 
     appropriated to the Secretary of the Interior for fiscal year 
     2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise 
     appropriated, to remain available through September 30, 2029, 
     $150,000,000 to hire employees for units of the National Park 
     System and national scenic trails and components of the 
     National Trails System administered by the Secretary of the 
     Interior (acting through the Director of the National Park 
     Service).
