  SA 2548. Mr. LEE submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to 
amendment SA 2360 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill 
H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. 
Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        On page 722, strike line 5 and all that follows through 
     line 20, and insert the following:
       ``(i) an alien who is lawfully admitted for permanent 
     residence under the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 
     1101 et seq.); or
       ``(ii) an individual who lawfully resides in the United 
     States in accordance with a Compact of Free Association 
     referred to in section 402(b)(2)(G) of the Personal 
     Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 
     1996 (8 U.S.C. 1612(b)(2)(G)).''.
