  SA 2477. Mr. KIM submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to 
amendment SA 2360 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Graham) to the bill 
H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. 
Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. ____. EFFECTIVE DATE.

       Title 1 and the amendments made by title I shall not take 
     effect until the date on which the Administrator of the Food 
     and Nutrition Service certifies that those provisions and 
     amendments shall not result in an increase in the number of 
     children who are obese or living with a diet-related disease 
     as compared to such number if such provisions and amendments 
     were not enacted.
