  SA 2361. Ms. HIRONO submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
her to the bill H.R. 1, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title 
II of H. Con. Res. 14; which was ordered to lie on the table; as 
follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. __. FUNDING TO INCREASE THE TOTAL MAXIMUM FEDERAL PELL 
                   GRANT AWARD PER STUDENT.

       Section 401(b)(5)(A)(i) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 
     (20 U.S.C. 1070a(b)(5)(A)(i)) is amended by inserting ``for 
     award years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, and $8,460 for award 
     year 2026-2027 and each subsequent award year'' after 
     ``$1,060''.
