NOMINATIONS
Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs: Committee concluded a 
hearing to examine the nominations of Benjamin DeMarzo, of Virginia, 
and Craig Trainor, of Virginia, both to be an Assistant Secretary of 
Housing and Urban Development, Jovan Jovanovic, of Pennsylvania, to be 
President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States for a term 
expiring January 20, 2029, Francis Brooke, of Virginia, to be an 
Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, and David Peters, of Virginia, to 
be an Assistant Secretary of Commerce, after the nominees testified and 
answered questions in their own behalf.
OCEAN RESOURCES
Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation: Subcommittee on 
Coast Guard, Maritime, and Fisheries concluded a hearing to examine 
conflicts over ocean resources, after receiving testimony from Gregory 
B. Poling, and Whitley Saumweber, both of the Center for Strategic and 
International Studies, and Nathaniel Maandig Rickard, Picard Kentz and 
Rowe LLP, all of Washington, D.C.; and Gabriel Prout, Alaska Bering Sea 
Crabbers, Kodiak.
DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY BUDGET AND TAX REFORM
Committee on Finance: Committee concluded a hearing to examine the 
President's proposed budget request for fiscal year 2026 for the 
Department of Treasury and tax reform, after receiving testimony from 
Scott K. H. Bessent, Secretary of the Treasury.

Committee on Foreign Relations: Committee concluded a hearing to 
examine the nominations of Luigi Rinaldi, of New York, to be Ambassador 
to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, who was introduced by Senator 
Paul, Arthur Fisher, of North Carolina, to be Ambassador to the 
Republic of Austria, who was introduced by Senator Hagerty, Roman 
Pipko, of Florida, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia, Stacey 
Feinberg, of California, to be Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of 
Luxembourg, who was introduced by Representative Donalds, and Nicholas 
Merrick, of Texas, to be Ambassador to the Czech Republic, who was 
introduced by Senators Cornyn and Cruz, all of the Department of State, 
after the nominees testified and answered questions in their own 
behalf.
BUSINESS MEETING
Committee on the Judiciary: Committee ordered favorably reported the 
following business items:
  S. 1829, to combat the sexual exploitation of children by supporting 
victims and promoting accountability and transparency by the tech 
industry, with an amendment in the nature of a substitute; and
   The nominations of Stanley Woodward, Jr., of the District of 
Columbia, to be Associate Attorney General, Thomas Gaiser, of Ohio, to 
be an Assistant Attorney General, and Ronald A. Parsons, Jr., to be 
United States Attorney for the District of South Dakota, all of the 
Department of Justice, Joseph Edlow, of Maryland, to be Director of 
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of 
Homeland Security, and John Squires, of Florida, to be Under Secretary 
of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States 
Patent and Trademark Office.
