favorably reported S. 222, to amend the Richard B. Russell National 
School Lunch Act to allow schools that participate in the school lunch 
program to serve whole milk, with an amendment in the nature of a 
substitute.
NOMINATION
Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry: Committee concluded 
a hearing to examine the nomination of Michael Boren, of Idaho, to be 
Under Secretary of Agriculture for Natural Resources and Environment, 
after the nominee, who was introduced by Senator Risch, testified and 
answered questions in his own behalf.
APPROPRIATIONS: DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Committee on Appropriations: Subcommittee on Departments of Labor, 
Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies 
concluded a hearing to examine proposed budget estimates for fiscal 
year 2026 for the Department of Education, after receiving testimony 
from Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education.

General Government concluded hearings to examine proposed budget 
estimate for fiscal year 2026 for the Securities and Exchange 
Commission, after receiving testimony from Paul S. Atkins, Chairman, 
Securities and Exchange Commission.

nomination of William Long, of Missouri, to be Commissioner of Internal 
Revenue, Department of the Treasury.

nominations of Joseph Barloon, of Maryland, to be a Deputy United 
States Trade Representative (Geneva Office), with the rank of 
Ambassador, Janet Dhillon, of Virginia, to be Director of the Pension 
Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and Brian Morrissey, Jr., of Virginia, to 
be General Counsel for the Department of the Treasury, after the 
nominees testified and answered questions in their own behalf.
