  SA 2233. Mr. SCHIFF submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
him to the bill S. 1582, to provide for the regulation of payment 
stablecoins, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the 
table; as follows:
       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. [___]. ACTS AFFECTING A PERSONAL FINANCIAL INTEREST.

       Section 208 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by 
     adding at the end the following:
       ``(e) For purposes of subsection (a), the term `financial 
     interest' includes an interest in the issuance, purchase, 
     sale, or holding of a payment stablecoin, as defined in 
     section 2 of the GENIUS Act.''.
