RESOLUTIONS SUBMITTED TODAY
Mr. THUNE. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate now
proceed to the en bloc consideration of the following resolutions,
which are at the desk: S. Res. 228, S. Res. 229, S. Res. 230.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the
resolutions en bloc.
Mr. THUNE. Mr. President, the Committee on Foreign Relations has
received a request from the U.S. Department of Justice for access to
records relating to a briefing attended by Senate staff that may be
relevant to a pending criminal case in Federal court in Arizona.
In keeping with the Senate's practice under its rules, this
resolution would authorize the chairman and ranking minority member of
the Foreign Relations Committee, acting jointly, to provide records to
the Department of Justice for use in connection with this case.
Mr. THUNE. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the
resolutions be agreed to, the preambles be agreed to, and the motions
to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table, all en bloc.
The resolutions were agreed to.
The preambles were agreed to.
(The resolutions, with their preambles, are printed in today's Record
under ``Submitted Resolutions.'')
