             HONORING THE LIFE OF GEORGE MILLARD ALLEN, JR.

  (Mr. CARTER of Georgia asked and was given permission to address the 
House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.)
  Mr. CARTER of Georgia. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life 
and the legacy of George Millard Allen, Jr., a veteran, a devoted 
public servant, and a cherished member of the Brunswick, Georgia, 
community.
  Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he proudly served our Nation in the 
United States Navy, exemplifying self-sacrifice and patriotism.
  After his military service, Mr. Allen continued to serve his 
community in various capacities, including involvement in local 
education as a Glynn County School Board member.
  Mr. Allen's legacy is characterized by his unwavering commitment to 
service, both in uniform and in civilian life. He leaves a lasting 
impact on everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him.
  As we remember Mr. Allen, let us celebrate a life well lived and 
commit to continuing his example of selfless service.
