                    HONORING SERGEANT MIKE ANDERSON

(Mr. Kiley of California was recognized to address the House for 5
minutes.)
Mr. KILEY of California. Mr. Speaker, in honor of National Police
Week, I wish to recognize and honor Sergeant Mike Anderson of the
Roseville Police Department for his unwavering commitment to serving
and protecting the Roseville community.
Sergeant Anderson has had an extraordinary 29-year career in law
enforcement with 21 of those years dedicated to the Roseville Police
Department. Throughout his tenure, he has held numerous roles,
including assignments in patrol, the crime suppression unit, and SWAT.
He has also served as investigations sergeant, patrol sergeant, and
rangemaster and instructor. In addition to his daily responsibilities,
Sergeant Anderson has been a cornerstone of the Roseville-Rocklin
Regional SWAT team for over 20 years, with 15 of those years as SWAT
team leader.
Sergeant Anderson is known for his expertise and for being a calm,
capable leader in moments of crisis. He motivates through action, leads
by example, and consistently places the well-being and performance of
his team above all else.
Through his skillful training and leadership, the SWAT team has
experienced two decades of success through many critical incidents. The
caliber of guidance and mentorship he offers is so exceptional that
many officers intentionally choose to remain on the night shifts that
he oversees, despite challenging hours, to work and learn under his
direction. His influence and the confidence that he inspires among
others has shaped generations of officers who have had the privilege of
working alongside him.
Sergeant Anderson has strengthened the Roseville Police force and our
community is safer as a result of his commitment to the department.
Sergeant Anderson will soon be retiring as the senior, most serving
sergeant in the outstanding Roseville Police Department, which is a
testament to his dedication, integrity, professionalism, and
leadership. It is an honor to represent exemplary individuals like
Sergeant Mike Anderson.
Mr. Speaker, on behalf of California's Third Congressional District
and the United States House of Representatives, I thank and honor
Sergeant Anderson for his nearly three decades of serving and
protecting the region as a dedicated public servant.
