  SA 1257. Ms. HIRONO submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
her to the bill S. 331, to amend the Controlled Substances Act with 
respect to the scheduling of fentanyl-related substances, and for other 
purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:

     SEC. __. REPORT TO CONGRESS.

       (a) Definition.--In this section, the term ``fentanyl-
     related substance'' has the meaning given that term under 
     section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802), 
     as amended by section 6(c) of this Act.
       (b) Report to Congress.--Not later than 1 year after the 
     date of enactment of this Act, the Attorney General, in 
     consultation with the Secretary of Education, shall submit to 
     Congress a report that--
       (1) identifies barriers to fentanyl and fentanyl-related 
     substance abuse education in primary and secondary school; 
     and
       (2) describes best practices for fentanyl and fentanyl-
     related substance abuse education in primary and secondary 
     schools.
