  SA 10. Mrs. SHAHEEN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
her to the bill S. 5, to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to 
take into custody aliens who have been charged in the United States 
with theft, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the 
table; as follows:

       At the end of the bill, add the following:

     SEC. 4. BORDER SECURITY TECHNOLOGY ALONG THE NORTHERN BORDER.

       There is appropriated to the Department of Homeland 
     Security, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise 
     appropriated, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, 
     $1,000,000,000, which shall be expended to aquire border 
     security technology assets to be deployed along the 
     international border between the United States and Canada.
