Mr. THUNE. Madam President, I understand there is a bill at the desk
that is due for a second reading.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bill by title for the
second time.
The legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (S. 5) to require the Secretary of Homeland Security
to take into custody aliens who have been charged in the
United States with theft, and for other purposes.
Mr. THUNE. Madam President, in order to place the bill on the
calendar under provisions of rule XIV, I would object to further
proceeding.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection having been heard, the bill will be
placed on the calendar.
