  SA 3355. Mr. SCHUMER proposed an amendment to the bill H.R. 82, to 
amend title II of the Social Security Act to repeal the Government 
pension offset and windfall elimination provisions; as follows:

       At the end add the following:

     SEC. EFFECTIVE DATE.

       This Act shall take effect on the date that is 1 day after 
     the date of enactment of this Act.
