      100TH ANNIVERSARY OF PI GAMMA MU INTERNATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

  Mr. GRASSLEY. Mr. President, I would like to offer my congratulations 
to the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society on celebrating its 100th 
anniversary. As a proud member, I commend the work the society has done 
and continues to do in encouraging and promoting excellence in the 
world of social science disciplines.
  Social science studies are important because they help us understand 
one another, our government, and how we can help build a better world. 
One hundred years is an important milestone, and it represents the 
exceptional achievement and impact the society has around the world and 
in our country. I appreciate the unwavering commitment of Pi Gamma Mu 
toward contributing to philanthropic causes and intellectual spaces. 
One hundred years of service and achievement is rare, and it 
demonstrates the society's outstanding impact on young scholars.
  As a Senator and a member, I am pleased to send my best wishes to Pi 
Gamma Mu International Honor Society for this extraordinary 
accomplishment. On behalf of all Iowans and myself, I salute you on a 
job well done.
