                    ASSASSINATION OF DONALD J. TRUMP

  Mr. MOONEY. Mr. Speaker, I ask unanimous consent that the Committee 
on Rules be discharged from further consideration of H. Res. 1470, and 
ask for its immediate consideration in the House.

  There was no objection.
  The text of the resolution is as follows:

                              H. Res. 1470

       Resolved,

     SECTION 1. EXPANSION OF JURISDICTION OF THE TASK FORCE ON THE 
                   ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION OF DONALD J. TRUMP.

       Section 2(a)(1) of House Resolution 1367, One Hundred 
     Eighteenth Congress, is amended by inserting ``and on 
     September 15, 2024 in West Palm Beach, Florida'' after 
     ``Pennsylvania''.

  The resolution was agreed to.
  A motion to reconsider was laid on the table.
