DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2025
The SPEAKER pro tempore (Mr. Carter of Georgia). Pursuant to House
Resolution 1316 and rule XVIII, the Chair declares the House in the
Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union for the further
consideration of the bill, H.R. 8774.

Accordingly, the House resolved itself into the Committee of the
Whole House on the state of the Union for the further consideration of
the bill (H.R. 8774) making appropriations for the Department of
Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, and for other
purposes, with Mr. Ferguson (Acting Chair) in the chair.

The Acting CHAIR. When the Committee of the Whole rose earlier today,
amendment No. 140 printed in part A of House report 118-559 offered by
the gentleman from Tennessee (Mr. Ogles) had been disposed of.
