                   FIRE GRANTS AND SAFETY ACT OF 2023

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Chair lays before the Senate a message 
from the House.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       Resolved, That the bill from the Senate (S. 870) entitled 
     ``An Act to amend the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act 
     of 1974 to authorize appropriations for the United States 
     Fire Administration and firefighter assistance grant 
     programs.'', do pass with an amendment and an amendment to 
     the title.
