SERVICEMEMBER QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENT AND NATIONAL DEFENSE
AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to House Resolution 1287 and rule
XVIII, the Chair declares the House in the Committee of the Whole House
on the state of the Union for the further consideration of the bill,
H.R. 8070.
Will the gentleman from North Dakota (Mr. Armstrong) kindly take the

In the Committee of the Whole
Accordingly, the House resolved itself into the Committee of the
Whole House on the state of the Union for the further consideration of
the bill (H.R. 8070) to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2025
for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military
construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy,
to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for
other purposes, with Mr. Armstrong (Acting Chair) in the chair.

The Acting CHAIR. When the Committee of the Whole rose earlier today,
the request for a recorded vote on amendment No. 47 printed in part B
of House Report 118-551 offered by the gentlewoman from Florida (Mrs.
Luna) had been withdrawn to the end that the amendment stand adopted.
