PROVIDING FOR CONSIDERATION OF H.R. 8070, SERVICEMEMBER QUALITY OF LIFE
IMPROVEMENT AND NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR
2025; RELATING TO CONSIDERATION OF HOUSE REPORT 118-527 AND
ACCOMPANYING RESOLUTION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to clause 8 of rule XX, the
unfinished business is the vote on ordering the previous question on
the resolution (H. Res. 1287) providing for consideration of the bill
(H.R. 8070) to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2025 for
military activities of the Department of Defense, for military
construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy,
to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year;
relating to the consideration of House Report 118-527 and an
accompanying resolution (H. Res. 1292) recommending that the House of
Representatives find United States Attorney General Merrick B. Garland
in contempt of Congress for refusal to comply with a subpoena duly
issued by the Committee on the Judiciary; and for other purposes, on
which the yeas and nays were ordered.
