                              THE CALENDAR

  Mr. SCHATZ. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the 
Committee on Veterans' Affairs be discharged from further consideration 
of the following bills and that the Senate proceed to their en bloc 
consideration: S. 3249, S. 3285, and H.R. 593.
  There being no objection, the committee was discharged, and the 
Senate proceeded to consider the bills en bloc.
  Mr. SCHATZ. I ask unanimous consent that the bills be considered read 
a third time and passed and that the motions to reconsider be 
considered made and laid upon the table, all en bloc.
