                   ORDERS FOR WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2024

  Mr. WHITEHOUSE. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it stand adjourned until 10 a.m. 
on Wednesday, May 1; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning 
hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, 
the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the 
day, and morning business be closed; that upon the conclusion of 
morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session to resume 
consideration of the Alexakis nomination, postcloture; further, that 
all time be considered expired at 11:45 a.m., and that following the 
Alexakis confirmation vote, the Senate resume legislative session to 
resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar No. 211, H.R. 
3935; further, that the Senate recess following the confirmation vote 
on the Alexakis nomination until 2 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus 
meetings, and the cloture motion with respect to the motion to proceed 
to H.R. 3935 ripen at 3 p.m.; finally, that if any nominations are 
confirmed during Wednesday's session, the motions to reconsider be 
considered made and laid upon table and the President be immediately 
notified of the Senate's action.
