DESIGNATING 2024 AS THE YEAR OF DEMOCRACY AS A TIME TO REFLECT ON THE
CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO A
MORE FREE AND STABLE WORLD
Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the
Committee on the Judiciary be discharged from further consideration and
the Senate now proceed to the consideration of S. Res. 333.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A resolution (S. Res. 333) designating 2024 as the Year of
Democracy as a time to reflect on the contributions of the
system of Government of the United States to a more free and
stable world.
There being no objection, the committee was discharged, and the
Senate proceeded to consider the resolution.
Mr. SCHUMER. I ask unanimous consent that the resolution be agreed
to, the preamble be agreed to, and the motions to reconsider be
considered made and laid upon the table with no intervening action or
debate.
