               MEASURE PLACED ON THE CALENDAR--H.R. 7024

  Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, I understand there is a bill at the desk 
that is due for a second reading.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The leader is correct.
  The clerk will read the bill by title for the second time.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (H.R. 7024) to make improvements to the child tax 
     credit, to provide tax incentives to promote economic growth, 
     to provide special rules for the taxation of certain 
     residents of Taiwan with income from sources within the 
     United States, to provide tax relief with respect to certain 
     Federal disasters, to make improvements to the low-income 
     housing tax credit, and for other purposes.

  Mr. SCHUMER. In order to place the bill on the Calendar under the 
provisions of rule XIV, I would object to further proceedings.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The objection is heard. The bill will be 
placed on the Calendar.
