  SA 1687. Mr. LEE submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
him to the bill H.R. 4366, making appropriations for military 
construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies 
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, and for other purposes; 
which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:
       Sec. ___.  None of the funds made available by this Act may 
     be made available to support, directly or indirectly, the 
     Wuhan Institute of Virology, or any laboratory owned or 
     controlled by the governments of

     the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Cuba, the 
     Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People's Republic of 
     Korea, the Russian Federation, or the Bolivarian Republic of 
     Venezuela.
