   PERMITTING THE COLLECTION OF CLOTHING, TOYS, FOOD, AND HOUSEWARES 
 DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN SENATE BUILDINGS

  Mr. MERKLEY. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent the Senate 
proceed to the consideration of S. Res. 451, submitted earlier today.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The clerk will report the resolution by title.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A resolution (S. Res. 451) permitting the collection of 
     clothing, toys, food, and housewares during the holiday 
     season for charitable purposes in Senate buildings.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the 
resolution.
  Mr. MERKLEY. I ask unanimous consent the resolution be agreed to and 
that the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the 
table with no intervening action or debate.
