CONDEMNING THE SUPPORT OF HAMAS, HEZBOLLAH, AND OTHER TERRORIST
ORGANIZATIONS AT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION, WHICH MAY LEAD TO
THE CREATION OF A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT FOR JEWISH STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND
STAFF
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to clause 8 of rule XX, the
unfinished business is the vote on the motion to suspend the rules and
agree to the resolution (H. Res. 798) condemning the support of Hamas,
Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations at institutions of higher
education, which may lead to the creation of a hostile environment for
Jewish students, faculty, and staff, as amended, on which the yeas and
nays were ordered.
The Clerk read the title of the resolution.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the
gentleman from Utah (Mr. Owens) that the House suspend the rules and
agree to the resolution, as amended.
This is a 5-minute vote.

The result of the vote was announced as above recorded.
The title of the bill was amended so as to read: ``A resolution
condemning the support of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist
organizations at institutions of higher education, which may lead to
the creation of a hostile environment for Jewish students, faculty, and
staff, condemning anti-semitism on college campuses, and supporting the
right of Jewish students to exercise their First Amendment rights.''.
A motion to reconsider was laid on the table.
